Packing is never an easy task, but packing only a carry-on suitcase for 10 days in Europe can be completely overwhelming (especially for this seasoned over-packer). But I’m here to tell you, it’s doable! I like to have options; unfortunately, that’s a luxury you can’t afford when you’re moving between six cities and two countries in less than two weeks.
Croatia definitely took me by surprise. I knew it was going to be lovely, but I had no idea it was going to be this stunning. We visited Split, Hvar, and Dubrovnik. Split had a lively night life, Hvar was a more slow-paced, relaxing vibe, and Dubrovnik displayed some incredible views. Dubrovnik is a filming location for Game of Thrones, so we took part in a three-hour walking tour which showed you the real life locations of some of the stand out scenes from the series. This was by far one of my favorite activities we did on our trip.
Santorini has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember. Waking up to this view felt like I was in a dream. We stayed at the Rimida Villas in Oia, Santorini. We were welcomed with a bottle of local wine, and each morning awoke to a delicious breakfast on our private patio. The slow-paced, down-to-earth lifestyle was a welcomed change from life in Los Angeles. From our day-long sailing trip to the breathtaking sunsets, Santorini is the most peaceful, picturesque place you can imagine.
Between exploring Croatia, sailing in Santorini, and beach-hopping on ATVs through Mykonos, I discovered the wardrobe necessities for a trip through Greece and Croatia. Below are some of the MVPs of my European adventure.
